The Kenya High School trace its origins to 1908 as the Nairobi European School. A Century of Heritage

Our Historical Timeline

1908

Foundation as Nairobi European School

Established to serve the educational requirements of Nairobi, laying down the early foundations of academic excellence in East Africa.

1915

Establishment of the Girls' School

The school was separated into boys and girls sections, focusing on empowering young women through dedicated learning environments.

1950

Migration to Kileleshwa Campus

The school relocated to its modern, beautiful, and spacious 70-acre campus in Kileleshwa, establishing premium boarding facilities and expansive sports fields.

1963

The Kenya High School (Nationalization)

Following Kenya's independence, the school was renamed The Kenya High School and opened its doors as a national boarding institution, welcoming brilliant minds from all corners of the republic.
